Real Weddings : Melissa & Sean : Liverpool Town Hall : Liverpool Wedding Photography & Film

Updated: Sep 1, 2020

We are so fortunate that we live in such a beautiful city that is home to some iconic buildings and venues such as St Georges Hall, The Liver Building and Liverpool Town Hall. It was this particular venue that Melissa and Sean chose for their winter wedding in December 2019.

Melissa looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress which was purchased from Boutique Brides of Crosby, whilst her Bridesmaids dresses were from ASOS

Melissa's bridal shoes were purchased from Schuh and her Bridesmaids shoes were from Boohoo

Melissas Bouquet and flowers were done by Hayleys Flowers and the Groom and Ushers were all kitted out with suits from Groom Hire and their shoes were also from ASOS

It was a beautiful service held at St Luke's Church, where the wedding rings that were from Diamond Heaven and Ernest Jones were exchanged during their wedding vows. Before and during the service there was a fantastic vocal performance from the Make Noise Choir and there was even time for their dog to come and say hello after the ceremony!

Then it was off to the reception venue for the evening celebrations! Melissa explains why they chose this venue for their special day

"Liverpool Town Hall is my favourite building in the city. I'd never been inside it before so on one of my days off i went on their website to see when the visiting hours were. I noticed that they host weddings so i booked a tour of the venue. We knew straight away that we wanted our wedding reception held there. It's so grand so it only requires minimal decoration. All of the staff we dealt with were so helpful and we were allowed to look around the venue numerous times with family members to get their thoughts and ideas.

The staff were also a great help when it came to setting up. There was an event on the day before which is when they normally set up, so it was all hands on deck on the morning of our wedding. They allowed us to drop off the decorations leading up to the big day and kept them locked away safely".

Table layout and table numbers were done by Paper Pleasures and Papier done the order of service and the venue dressing was done by Totally D'Vine along with Liverpool Town Hall

Their scrumptious wedding cake was made by CakeFace whilst their evening entertainment was provided by Judith Heath on piano and the absolutely magnificent

Twisted Tubes ensuring a memorable day also had a memorable evening.

Heres some final advice from the happy couple

"Be decisive. I'm terrible at making decisions so this was a real test for me. Work together and make sure it's what you both want as a lot of money and time is spent on this one day. Write down everything you'd like to have on the day and ring around for quotes. My aim was to get 3 quotes for each service i wanted as this gave me a good idea of how much it was going to cost. If it works out unaffordable then you can look at areas where you can try and save a bit of money.

Lastly, enjoy every moment!"
